Grand Canyon Day
Today I went to the Grand Canyon to deliver dry goods to several client stores. I usually go on Wednesdays, but this last Wednesday the largest client was doing inventory, so I had to go today. I was going to go yesterday (Thursday), but I had a class in the afternoon and probably wouldn't have made it to the class.

Twelve Hour Day, Again
I got to work this morning at eight a.m. and clocked out at 8:16 p.m. That's over twelve hours just for today. To boot, I didn't eat a thing all day since 7:30 this morning cause I refuse to buy anything at the Grand Canyon, it's so expensive there. Everything is about 50-70 percent higher than anywhere else. There's nothing for 50+ miles in every direction, so they got you good.

Nice Day At The Grand Canyon

It was a clear and warm day at the GC; it was nice. There was a light breeze and plenty of blue sky. The weather was really comfortable. I was in shorts and wasn't cold or hot.

A Friend Makes The Day
I got a call from a friend (Vince Rios) who lives in California (for now anyway) that helped to make my long day tolerable. We chatted for about 15 minutes and did some catching up. Since I didn't take one break today, I figured it was cool to chat while at work.

He's planning to move North if everything works out right for him. That'll be cool because he'll be about 4-5 hours closer to Flagstaff, AZ. If everything goes as planned, he's expecting to be out of California in early August. I hope the best for you Vince.

Awesome Trip Home

I have to admit, the drive from Flagstaff, AZ to the Grand Canyon is by far one of my favorite drives. Above is a picture I took of the peaks coming home from the Grand Canyon today. The sun was almost gone, so it's a little dark.

This spot is about 10 minutes from the office head quarters and is a welcome sight after a twelve hour day on the road. ...I love Flagstaff.
